EastLake Certified Farmers Market, Open Air Bazaar Announces New Winter Hours, Visit From Santa CHULA VISTA, Calif. The EastLake Certified Farmers Market and Open Air Bazaar, held every Friday at EastLake Elementary School, 1955 Hillside Dr., has changed its hours for winter and will now be open from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. On December 12 the market will host a special visit from Santa, who will pose for photos with kids from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be no market on December 26 and January 2 due to the holidays. In addition to featuring fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers, the Certified Farmers Market and Open Air Bazaar provides entertainment and childrens activities such as pony rides, a petting zoo and inflatable jump. Every week there is new entertainment, and new specialty items and food vendors are featured, with prepared foods offered for those who want to take a night off from cooking. A non-profit event, the Market gives all proceeds to the EastLake Educational Foundation for support of six public schools in the area. For more information, call (858) 272-7054. Back to News |
