As evidence, homes are selling out fast at EastLake's newest and final neighborhoods. At EastLake Vistas -- one of the area's most scenic neighborhoods because of its stunning views, walking and bicycle trails, proximity to the Salt Creek Wetlands Preserve and Otay Lakes -- model homes by Cornerstone just opened at Valencia with home prices starting in the $700,000s. KB Home's Abilene, with homes starting from the low $600,000s, is almost sold out. Greystone's condos at Alder Lane, starting in the low $400,000s, and Willow Bend, priced from the high $400,000s, are also selling fast.

The Woods by EastLake, the community's premiere neighborhood, also has had brisk sales with ColRich Reserve at The Woods by Pulte Homes sold out and K. Hovnanian at the Woods preparing for their final release in October. Homes by Cornerstone Communities, with prices starting in the $800,000s, are selling quickly as well. Construction also is underway on many of the lots sold at The Gates, an enclave of 64 custom homes at The Woods by EastLake.
