EastLake Trails' Creekside Park Begins Construction on New Lake, Residential Clubhouse for January 2000 Unveiling

EASTLAKE, Calif. - Construction has begun on the seven-acre Creekside Park at EastLake Trails, with excavation of its 1.5-acre lake and framing for the residents-only clubhouse already complete. Creekside Park will be the primary recreational amenity for residents of EastLake Trails, the fourth neighborhood within the EastLake community.

These amenities will be completed by EastLake Trails' grand opening in January 2000, however, homes in the new neighborhood are now previewing, with some model homes now open.

"Much like EastLake's already-popular beach swimming area and lake for fishing and sailing, Creekside Park continues our focus on water-oriented amenities and provides enjoyment of the outdoors for all our residents," said Bill Ostrem, president and CEO of EastLake. "And at more than 5.5 acres in size it gives residents the space they need to properly enjoy it, allowing spectacular views of the Salt Creek corridor against a backdrop of rolling hills."

The hacienda-style clubhouse is the centerpiece of Creekside Park. The clubhouse opens out to a large outdoor entertaining patio with barbecue and separate kitchen facilities. Just a few steps down from the patio residents will enjoy the swimming facilities that include a 4,900-square-foot swimming pool, a 2,800-square-foot children's pool, a spa as well as changing and restroom facilities. Adjacent to Creekside Park - but included in 23 acres of open space - is a future city of Chula Vista community park that incorporates a wetlands preserve. The preserve will feature an enhanced duck pond that EastLake has protected, maintaining the beauty of the natural ecosystem.

Homes in EastLake Trails reflect the same old California, rural theme as Creekside Park and its open space. Kaufman & Broad's Bridlewood (from the low- $200,000s and up to 1,589 square feet) and Hillgate (from the mid-$200,000s and up to 1,892 square feet) have models open and are currently selling. Monterey Ridge, from Fieldstone Communities, is now previewing its homes, which will range from 2,361 to 2,872 square feet and be priced from the mid-$200,000s.

Located east of Hunte Parkway between Otay Lakes Road and Olympic Parkway, EastLake Trails will cover 323 acres, with 1,143 homes and family-oriented amenities, including the state-of-the-art Arroyo Vista Elementary School. True to its name, the neighborhood will provide safe walking and biking trails throughout, making it easy and comfortable for EastLake residents to access the elementary school and other recreational areas within the community.
