EastLake Trails Celebrates Grand Opening, Public Invited to Enjoy the Neighborhood EASTLAKE, Calif. EastLake celebrates the grand opening of EastLake Trails, its fourth neighborhood, with block party festivities 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 15. This one-day event will present a taste of the EastLake lifestyle and its impressive amenities. Games, activities and music are planned at the Arroyo Vista Elementary School, opening later this month. Radio personalities will host the activities; Pikachu and the Easter Bunny visit, too, from 1 to 3 p.m. The new private Creekside Park will be open to the public for this occasion. Visitors will enjoy cuisine from recipes in The EastLake Neighborhood Cookbook. The cookbook celebrates the opening of EastLake Trails; it will be available for $10, with proceeds benefiting the EastLake Education Foundation. Creekside Park features an old-California style hacienda clubhouse, outdoor entertaining area, two pools, and a two-acre lake ringed with walking trails. Olympic athletes from the U.S. Olympic Training Center (OTC) in EastLake and former Olympians will interact with visitors. The OTCs mini Spirit Store will be open on-site as part of the festivities. Each EastLake Trails builder will host tours of their model homes, including Hillgate, Bridlewood and Woodcreek by Kaufman & Broad; Monterey Ridge and Monterey Point by Fieldstone Communities; Sagewood by Cornerstone Communities; and Creekside Estates by Continental Homes; also Shea Homes will preview plans for Sycamore Ridge, opening in Summer 2000.
