EastLake Residents Catch Spring Fever

EASTLAKE, Calif. – Spring fever is in the air at EastLake. The community is popping with activity. Residents and visitors alike can hop on down to a Spring Craft Fair at EastLake Shores on April 7 or catch the Easter Bunny at the Village Shopping Center that same day. Photographs are $3 or free with a donated children's book. Proceeds will benefit the EastLake Friends of the Library.

Hundreds of local children will enjoy an early morning Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 14, an annual favorite of residents.

During Spring Break, kids and parents can choose from several themed Day Camps, including sports and nature, all coordinated by the EastLake Community Associations.

Springtime is not complete without EastLake Little League baseball. Hundreds of players on 45 teams will swing into spring on Opening Day, March 17.

The EastLake Community Associations’ new events this year include the EastLake Wine Tour trip to Temecula on April 21 and a swoosh down the slopes at the Big Bear ski trip March 17.

Recreational bicyclists get in gear for Cycle EastLake 2001! on Sunday, April 29. Cycling enthusiasts will peddle through the 12-, 25-, and 50-mile tours as they stop at the U.S. Olympic Training Center and roll past Otay Lakes. A 5-mile route is designed, as well, for families and non-cyclists eager to share a morning of easy exercise. Proceeds benefit the EastLake Educational Foundation.
