EastLake families invite the public to join them for the sixth annual EastLake Summer Sounds concert series. Upcoming performances feature smooth jazz from Hemisphere on June 23, the rousing beat of the U.S. Air Force Southwest Band on June 30, and Latin rhythms of Power Play on July 28. The concert series culminates on Aug. 25 with rock and roll classics of The Heroes and EastLake’s 15th anniversary bash. Hemisphere begins at 4 p.m.; all others on Saturdays at 5 p.m. at the Chula Vista Community Park at 1060 EastLake Parkway.

EastLake Little Leaguers will go to bat during championship playoffs and round out the season with closing ceremonies in June. Athletes and their families look forward to games to be played on new fields, with land donated by The EastLake Company, for the 2002 season.

Residents will enjoy the 15th annual EastLake July 4th celebration with music, games, good food and great neighbors, coordinated by the community associations and The EastLake Company.

In EastLake’s summer day camps, kids will get their kicks with a variety of activities—all sponsored by the community associations. Youngsters can sculpt sandcastles at Beach Camp, try their hand at Arts & Crafts, or practice their forehands in tennis and swim laps at Smash & Splash. Adults get their share of fun too, in classes of water aerobics, cardio-kickboxing and yoga, also coordinated through the community associations.
