EastLake Turns 15! EASTLAKE, Calif. This summer, residents are celebrating EastLakes 15th anniversary with a variety of activities, including a concert in the park with awards for long-time residents and those who have helped enhance the quality of life in the community. EastLake has matured since its debut as the first master-planned community in eastern Chula Vista in 1986. It is home to more than 11,000 residents and has four schools, a library, a performing arts center, golf course, nine neighborhood parks, lakes and ponds, and miles of pedestrian and bicycle trails. The creation and development of open space, parks, trails and recreational facilities have been key to EastLakes plan from the beginning, said Ostrem. These kinds of amenities, he said, create environments for events and gatherings many of which have become neighborhood traditions, such as the summer concert series and the 4th of July celebration. It comes as no surprise to him or neighborhood residents that in an annual countywide poll, EastLake has been voted the Best New Home Community for five consecutive years. This summer EastLake is welcoming Cornerstone Communities beautifully designed California Craftsman- and Mediterranean-style homes at Sevilla in EastLake Trails. Elegant interior amenities adorn the three distinctive two-story floor plans, ranging from 1,700 square feet to 2,038 square feet. The 83 homes offer spacious family rooms with wood-burning fireplaces and media niches, formal dining areas, gourmet kitchens with storage pantries, and luxurious master suites with walk-in closets. Sevilla homes feature three bedrooms with option for a fourth two-and-a-half to three baths, dens, lofts and two-car garages. Homes also include options for a kitchen island, deck off the master bedroom, French doors, plus numerous other upgrades. Prices start from the mid-$200,000s.
