Within the master-planned community of EastLake in eastern Chula Vista, there are three elementary schools and one high school. Much of the financial boost to the neighborhood schools comes from the EastLake Educational Foundation (EEF). The EEF holds several fundraising events each year to generate money for area schools. On Tuesday, Oct. 2, the 6th annual EEF golf tournament will be held at the EastLake Country Club. Other annual events include the Punt, Pass and Kick competition hosted by the NFL retired players association in January, a gala Silent-Auction dinner theater in March and Cycle EastLake!, the EEF’s most popular fundraiser that will be held on Sunday, April 28.
