Award-Winning Nature Photographs Now On Dispaly At Chula Vista Nature Center CHULA VISTA, Calif. Stunning color and black-and-white photographs capturing nature in San Diego County and Baja California are part of a special exhibit now on display at the Chula Vista Nature Center, sponsored by The EastLake Company. The 32 photographs are winners of the sixth annual Quest Nature & Eye Photo Contest coordinated by The San Diego Union-Tribune. The photos were published in the newspaper in November, and then exhibited for six weeks at the San Diego Natural History Museum in Balboa Park. The winning photographs in both youth and adult categories are on display through March at the Chula Vista Nature Center, 1000 Gunpowder Point Drive. These outstanding photographs offer rare and unusual glimpses of local and regional nature, said Bill Ostrem, President and CEO of The EastLake Company, developer of the EastLake master-planned community in eastern Chula Vista. We wanted to extend the exhibit and bring it to visitors and residents of South County. The Chula Vista Nature Center provides the perfect setting for these eye-catching nature photographs. To reach the Chula Vista Nature Center, take the E Street exit off of Interstate 5 and travel west. Free parking and shuttle service is available to the Nature Center, which is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The center is closed Mondays. Admission is $3.50 for adults and $1 for children. For more information about the Nature Center, please call (619) 409-5900. ### Back to News |
